Are you over 50 years of age – Do you have low bone density – and if you do not know then get checked

Osteoporosis and low bone density (osteopaenia) are common in Australia with 4.74million Australians over the age of 50 years have Osteoporosis or low bone density.

In 2013, there were 144,000 fractures reported that were linked to Osteoporosis or low bone density in Australia!

Over the next 10 years, the estimated cost to the community is estimated to be $33.6 BILLION from treatment of Osteoporosis and low bone density!

So, if you are 50 years of age and older and an Australian man or woman, please go and get checked to ensure you do not have a low bone density as there is plenty we can do about this if we find it early.
