About me

Hi, I’m Ainsley. A true Rocky local, born and raised in Rockhampton. I have completed my education from primary school all the way through to my tertiary education in Rockhampton. My journey to becoming a physiotherapist was not linear, starting my tertiary studies with a Bachelor of Medical Science (Pathology). I decided that wasn’t quite right for me and found myself considering physiotherapy – I dove straight in and quickly knew it was the right move. After what felt like a lifetime, I graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at CQUniversity Rockhampton in December 2023.

Throughout my studies, I had a broad selection of clinical placements including:
– Acute Orthopaedics
– Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy
– Geriatric Neurorehabilitation
– Women’s Health – Acute Post Natal
– Private Practice Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

I have a special interest and passion in Women’s Health including antenatal and postnatal physiotherapy, pelvic pain, continence and education. Empowering women to make informed decisions about their healthcare and their wellbeing is something I am a huge advocate for.

Outside of work, you can find me hanging out at the beach (usually with a good book and my dogs), at the gym or grabbing a coffee with my friends and family.
