Member for Rockhampton

100 Faces of Small Business

The Queensland Government is shining a light on the inspiring stories behind our local small businesses, with the launch of the 100 Faces of Small Business initiative.

Announced as part of Queensland Small Business Week 2018, the initiative showcases the unique experiences of small business owners from 17 industries right across the state.

“I am so proud to see some familiar faces from Rockhampton, represented through Glenn Hansen of Vector Health, one of our very own small businesses,” Mr O’Rourke said.

It was Glenn Hansen’s coaching clients who encouraged him to start his own multi– disciplinary healthcare business. He took their advice, opening up a practice in Rockhampton in Central Queensland, and business is now booming.

This is a great way to acknowledge the vital contribution small businesses make, not only to Queensland’s economy, but to the essence of our communities.

The 100 Faces of Small Business initiative supports the Advancing Small Business Queensland Strategy 201620, and demonstrates the Queensland Government’s commitment to ensuring we remain the place for small business to start, grow and employ.

Through this initiative, we can celebrate the achievements of our local small business owners, inspire others to follow in their footsteps, and motivate Queenslanders to become strong advocates for small business in their community,” Mr O’Rourke said.
