What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is the process of diagnosing the origin of pain (symptoms) in a patient, and the use of a variety of techniques to reduce pain, increase range of motion (helping you move easier) and functional capacity (the ability to do more) as quickly as possible. Treatment usually focuses on trying to reduce symptoms as quickly as possible (usually pain or lack of ability to move) and then to increase the level of capacity of a patient with the usual goal of returning a patient to their pre-injury function.
